After this setup, Lee can:

  • Check the status of your pull requests
  • List and search issues across your repos
  • View CI/CD run status and logs
  • Check which workflows passed or failed
  • Search code and repositories
1

Go to GitHub Token Settings

Open GitHub Personal Access Token page and make sure you are logged in.

github.com/settings/tokens →
2

Create a New Token

Click Generate new token, give it a name, set expiration, choose repository access, and set permissions (Actions, Contents, Issues, Pull requests - all Read-only).

3

Copy Your Token

GitHub will show your new token. Copy it now - you will not be able to see it again!

⚠️ Keep this token private. Anyone with this token can access your GitHub repos.

4

Send the Token to Lee

Send Lee a message with your token:

Set up GitHub with this token: [paste your token here]

Lee will confirm once connected. You are all set!

Try it out!

After this setup, Lee can:

  • "What is the status of PR #42 in my-repo?"
  • "List open issues in [owner/repo]"
  • "Did the CI pass on my latest commit?"
  • "Show me the failed workflow runs"

Tips

Specify the repository

When asking about a specific repo, use the format owner/repo. For example: "Check PR #5 in acme/website"

Private repositories

Lee can access private repos if you granted access to them when creating the token.

Troubleshooting

Lee says it cannot access a repository
Lee says the token is invalid
The token expired
